Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager

1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Rate: $54,799 – $79,000

Position Summary/Objective

As a key member of the Bouckaert Industrial Textiles team, the Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional projects across manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, and government contracts. This role is responsible for helping manage project timelines, communications, documentation, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to daily operations. This is a hands-on role requiring regular presence on the production floor and close collaboration with functional leaders, operators, and support teams. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate assigned operational, engineering, and process improvement projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Assist in developing project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and action registers.
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and dependencies while helping drive mitigation plans.
  • Ensure project changes are documented and aligned with formal change control procedures.
  • Coordinate activities across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams.
  • Facilitate project kick-off meetings, progress updates, and closeout reviews.
  • Ensure roles, responsibilities, and project handoffs are clearly defined.
  • Escalate issues appropriately when timelines, scope, or resources are at risk.
  • Provide clear and concise project status updates to leadership.
  • Track progress against milestones, risks, and action items.
  • Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, and decision logs.
  • Serve as a central point of communication for assigned projects.
  • Support government contract initiatives by assisting with research and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate internal contributors for project plans, timelines, and deliverables related to government contracts.
  • Help ensure project documentation aligns with contract language, statements of work (SOW), and compliance requirements.
  • Support Lean manufacturing, efficiency, and standardization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution, communication, and documentation processes.
  • Partner with Quality to ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Help ensure projects transition smoothly into standard operations with clear ownership.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, quality, or supply chain environments.
    • 0–3 years of experience supporting or coordinating projects.
    • Experience in textile manufacturing preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

    Customer Service Support Specialist

    Customer Service Support Specialist

    1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
    Rate: $26 – $31

    Position Summary/Objective

    As a key member of the Bouckaert Industrial Textiles team, the Customer Service Support Specialist will provide frontline customer support while assisting with government contract operations. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, managing orders and inquiries, supporting contract compliance activities, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    Customer Service Duties:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and sales orders.
    • Provide timely and effective support via phone, email, and other communication channels.
    • Process orders and quotes while coordinating with production and logistics teams.
    • Provide accurate information regarding products and services.
    • Maintain customer records and update account information as needed.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Resolve customer complaints and follow up with corrective actions and resolutions.

    Government Contracts Duties:

    • Support the Government Contracts Manager with proposal preparation, invoice submissions, order entry, compliance tracking, and reporting.
    • Monitor government contract bid portals.
    • Maintain government lab tests, shade results, and component test reports.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contract requirements are met.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all government contracts.

      Education & Experience

      • Associate degree preferred.
      • Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience required.
      • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
      • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
      • Experience supporting government contracts or manufacturing environments is a plus.

      Machine Operator Assistant 1st Shift

      Machine Operator Assistant 1st Shift

      1st Shift – Monday to Thursday 6am – 4:30pm with potential overtime on Fridays
      $18/hr

      Position Summary/Objective

      Responsible for the movement of material to and from the machine, ensuring the machine is supplied with correct raw material for processing, removing finished product and delivering it to the shipping department. Assist Machine Operators in loading fiber and removing finished product. Assist with set-up and change-over including cleaning equipment.

      Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

      • Follow all safety rules, including Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and use of Personal Protective
      • Equipment including hearing, eye protection, and safety shoes.
      • Locates and supplies materials to machine operators.
      • Assist with set-up and change-over including cleaning equipment.
      • Weighs, straps, bags, and makes labels for finished goods.
      • Assists in performing in-process quality inspections.
      • Inform supervisor of any material needs as they arise.
      • Maintains in-process inventory by labeling WIP correctly in POUT or job packets by verifying material lot and quantity.
      • Prepares finished product for shipment by moving to staging area and recording information into POUT.
      • Uses material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, A-Frame jacks, etc.

      Education & Experience

      • 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
      • Experience running a forklift / Forklift certified preferred.
      • Good communication skills to interact with production.
      • Read and write English.
      • Forklift / Clamp Truck Certified.
      • Basic computer skills

      Machine Operator I – BIT

      Machine Operator I – BIT

      Job Type: Full-time
      1st Shift, Monday to Thursday 6am – 4:30pm (potential overtime Friday)
      Rate: $20/HR – $24/HR

      Position Summary/Objective

      Responsible for the movement of material to and from the machine, ensuring the machine is supplied with correct raw material for processing, removing finished product and delivering it to the shipping department. Assist Machine Operators in loading fiber and removing finished product. Assist with set-up and change-over including cleaning equipment.

      Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

      • Follow all safety rules, including Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and use of Personal Protective Equipment including hearing, eye protection, and safety shoes.
      • Operate at least one textile machine independently.
      • Set up, run and change-over and clean assigned equipment.
      • Keep the machine in good working condition by properly cleaning.
      • Keep work area neat and organized according to 5S Standards.
      • Make minor machine adjustments within accepted ranges to ensure the quality and efficiency of the operations. Follow escalation process for more complex machine issues.
      • Complete work within expected time frame of production job.
      • Monitors metal detectors for alarm and retrieves needles from material, as needed.
      • Understand basics of all components of the machines they have been trained on.
      • Review job documentation before beginning job and ask questions to Supervisor if unsure of instructions.
      • Document work clearly and accurately in Tulip, POUT, Job Packet and hour by hour charts.
      • Communicate daily with Supervisors regarding any issues or concerns and provides status updates to all shifts.
      • Identify quality issues both incoming to their operation and created by their operation.

      Education & Experience

      • 1 year of manufacturing experience required. 
      • Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
      • Experience or knowledge of textile industry a plus.
