Thomas Bouckaert founded Bouckaert Industrial Textiles (BIT) in 1988. We originally manufactured disaster relief blankets. Shortly after, the company branched out into manufacturing technical needle punch felt, both wool and synthetic, for the nonwoven fabric industry.

BIT was acquired by The Brickle Group in 2000. They had over 75 years of experience in the industrial textile field. BIT was able to expand its production capabilities with the help of The Brickle Group. This allowed us to manufacture wool and synthetic felts, both virgin and recycled. We were also able to control the entire flow of nonwoven textiles, from fiber to finished goods. This provides us the ability to offer consistent, high-quality felts from both synthetic and natural fibers at the best price. We can also produce both large and small production programs no matter your needs.
Today, BIT is the leading US manufacturer of industrial felt products located on the East Coast. We can produce low, medium, and very high-density felt with many different finishes. This is thanks to our inventory of over 6 million lbs. of raw material, a full range of needle punch, airlay, and finishing capabilities, and our highly experienced team.
We’ve been helping companies turn their ideas into successful products for over 25 years. We are always ready for the next project regardless of size or complexity. We look forward to the opportunity to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.
